North Western International River Basin District
The North Western International River Basin District (IRBD) encompasses all of County Donegal, large parts of Fermanagh, Cavan, Londonderry, Monaghan and Tyrone, significant areas of Leitrim and Longford and a small portion of Sligo. It comprises catchments of the rivers Foyle, Erne and Swilly, lakes Erne (Upper and Lover), Melvin, Macnean and Swilly. It also encompasses coastline of County Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo and County Londonderry/Derry in Northern Ireland; and all the groundwater of the region
